Exercise Description and Instruction:

This Weight Training Exercise is a variation of Skull Crushers and is done using a cable pulley rather than a barbell or EZ Curl Bar while lying on a flat bench. It is very similar to the Low Triceps Extensions.

To Perform This Exercise:

  1. Position a flat bench with the end towards a weight stack at a cable pulley.
  2. Attach a short straight bar to the pulley and lower the pulley to the bottom of the stack.
  3. Lie face up on the bench and grasp the bar with a narrow overhand grip.
  4. Starting with your arms extended, lower the bar towards the stack by bending your elbows.
  5. While keeping your elbows in a locked position, slowly extend your arms upright until your arms are fully extended above you.
  6. Return to the starting position and repeat.

Tips:

  1. Keep your elbows level throughout the exercise.
  2. Start with a very light amount of weight to get comfortable with the range of motion
