Exercise Description and Instruction:

This Weight Training Exercise is a variation of standard Triceps Extension and uses a decline bench and dumbbells to isolate your triceps. This exercise can also be performed with a barbell or EZ Curl Bar.

To Perform This Exercise:

  1. Lie face up on a decline bench with dumbbells in each hand and your arms extended perpendicular to your chest over your head.
  2. While keeping your elbows in one place, lower your hands so the dumbbells are lowered near your head and your forearms are touching your biceps.
  3. Pause for a moment then slowly return to the starting position by extending your arms and pressing the weights above your head.

Tips:

  1. Stay seated and keep your feet firmly on the floor throughout this exercise.
  2. Keep your elbows in a fixed position throughout the exercise.
