Below we've sorted all of our weight training exercises that use barbells by primary muscle(s) trained. Each of the individual exercises comes complete with pictures, exercise instructions and tips so that you can get the most out of this online training and immediately add to your Weight Training Programs.
In general, Barbell Exercises are more conducive to building muscle mass than Dumbbell Exercises or Cable Exercises.
This is because you can train with more weight using a barbell and put more stress on your muscles. Take barbell squats vs. dumbbell squats for example. Can you hold more weight at your sides using dumbbells or on your shoulders with a barbell?
You can also effectively exercise to lose weight with barbells, so what's not to like?
